Denzal Stewart Killed in Semi-Truck Accident in Pueblo County, CO

Pueblo County, CO — August 18, 2023, Denzal Stewart was fatally injured due to a tractor-trailer accident early Friday along Interstate 25.

In their statements, authorities reported that the incident happened outside of Pueblo near mile marker 88 and Burnt Mill Road.

According to officials, 33-year-old Denzal Stewart of Bryan, Texas, was in a tractor-trailer that was traveling northbound along the interstate. Due to a series of events still under investigation, the truck somehow veered left through the median, back to the right, and then into the side of an overpass barrier. This left the truck dangling off the side of the bridge.

After the crash, authorities say they found Stewart deceased. Details at this time confirm he was wearing a seatbelt. A dog also apparently lost its life in the crash while another was rescued. At this time, there are no additional details available about what may have caused the crash.
