One Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on Route 191 in San Juan County, UT

San Juan County, UT — August 18, 2023, a person was killed in a semi-truck collision on Route 191, south of Moab in San Juan County, UT.

Authorities say that on August 18, a collision occurred between a vehicle and a semi-truck in San Juan County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the car was heading south along Route 191 when it suddenly entered opposing traffic and collided with an oncoming semi-truck. The accident reportedly happened at approximately 4:30 in the afternoon.

Officials confirmed the vehicle driver, whose name has not been released, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

The accident is still under investigation.
