Victoria Man Killed in Truck Accident on F.M. 2644 in Maverick County, TX

Maverick County, TX — July 26, 2023, a driver sustained fatal injuries as the result of a commercial truck accident at around 4:31 p.m. along F.M. 2644.

According to initial details about the crash released by authorities, the incident took place along Farm-to-Market 2644 near mile marker 390.

Officials said in their statements that a 22-year-old Victoria man was behind the wheel of a Freightliner semi-truck. It appears that the truck was traveling westbound along the roadway at the time when, for reasons not currently confirmed, the truck ran off the side of the road. In doing so, the truck entered the roadside ditch, then overturned.

As a result of the rollover accident, the Victoria man sustained injuries that proved to be fatal. There did not appear to be any other passengers or vehicles involved in the crash. Authorities have yet to release additional details which can be confirmed.
