Firefighter Killed in Motorcycle/Truck Accident in Richmond, VA

Richmond, VA — August 17, 2023, a firefighter was killed in a motorcycle/truck crash on North Arthur Ashe Boulevard in Richmond, VA.

Authorities say that on August 17, a fatal accident occurred when, for unknown reasons, a motorcycle and a truck collided on North Arthur Ashe Boulevard. According to reports, the crash happened shortly before 9:00 in the morning.

Investigators say the motorcycle and the semi collided as the truck attempted a left turn onto Arthur Ashe Boulevard. Officials confirmed the motorcyclist, a firefighter whose name has not been released, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

No additional information has been released. The crash is under investigation.
