Four Injured in Cargo Van Accident on Route 12 in Lake Zurich, IL

Lake Zurich, IL — August 14, 2023, four people sustained injuries following a cargo van accident at around 10:45 p.m. along Route 12.

Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash took place along Route 12 near the intersection of Miller Road.

According to officials, a cargo van was traveling along the southbound lanes of the highway. For reasons which are not clear at this time, the van drifted into oncoming lanes where it collided with a northbound vehicle.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the van sustained injuries which were believed to be serious. Three others involved in the crash also had injuries. Right now, there is no further information about the cause of the accident. Investigations are still ongoing.
