Kyle McNeil Killed in Semi-Truck Accident near Fort Atkinson, IA

Winneshiek County, IA — August 16, 2023, Kyle McNeil was fatally injured as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 5:40 p.m. along Highway 24.

According to preliminary information about the accident, the crash took place where Highway 24 crosses Goddard Creek.

Authorities said in their initial statements that 33-year-old Kyle McNeil was in a semi-truck that was traveling along the highway. For reasons which cannot be confirmed at this time, the truck lost control and ran off the side of the highway. This led to the truck overturning off the bridge, then catching fire.

As a result of the crash, McNeil sustained fatal injuries. There were no others said to have been involved in the crash. It was described as a single-vehicle wreck. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
