One Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 75 in Detroit, MI

Detroit, MI — August 9, 2023, a person was killed in a semi-truck collision on Interstate 75 near Mack Avenue in Detroit, MI.

Authorities indicate that on August 9, a fatal accident occurred when a vehicle and a semi-truck collided on Interstate 75 in Detroit. According to reports, the southbound vehicle struck the rear of a non-moving semi-truck. The accident happened at approximately 1:00 in the afternoon.

Officials confirmed that the vehicle driver suffered severe injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The driver, whose name has not been released, did not survive. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
