Three Injured in Truck/Bus Accident in Southfield, MI

Southfield, MI — August 11, 2023, three people were injured in a truck/bus crash at Northwestern Highway and 9 Mile Road in Oakland County, Southfield, MI.

Authorities say that on August 11, a pickup truck and a bus collided in Oakland County. According to reports, the pickup truck allegedly failed to stop at a red light and collided with an oncoming bus. The accident reportedly happened shortly after 7:00 in the morning.

Investigators have not determined the cause of the crash. Officials confirmed that the truck driver, bus driver, and a passenger suffered injuries and were transported to an area hospital for medical attention. The truck driver reportedly sustained severe injuries and is in critical condition. The extent of the bus driver and passenger's injuries is unknown at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
