One Injured in Truck Accident on Capistrano Ave. in Las Vegas, NV

Las Vegas, NV — August 15, 2023, one person was injured in a multi-vehicle accident around 9:30 p.m. at Eastern Ave. and Capistrano Ave. in Las Vegas.

According to investigators, a Nissan Maxima was facing south on Eastern Ave. and attempting a U-turn when it was allegedly struck by a southbound Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van. The nose of the van purportedly collided with the driver's side of the Maxima.

The 28-year-old MAxima driver was reportedly transported to a medical center with serious injuries.

Authorities have not released if the van was a commercial vehicle or what factors led up to the crash.
