Johnny Rios Jr. Injured in Car Accident in Austin, TX

Austin, TX — July 28, 2023, Johnny Rios Jr. was injured following a car accident at around 9:25 p.m. along Ferguson Lane.

According to information released by authorities, the incident happened in the area of the Ferguson Lane and Leisure Drive intersection.

Officials said in their statements that 39-year-old Johnny Rios Jr. was in a Lexus going eastbound along Ferguson. While rounding a curve, it appears a vehicle in the oncoming lane of travel went left of center. This led to the vehicles colliding head-on with one another.

As a result of the collision, Rios sustained injuries which was described as incapacitating. The other driver apparently had non-incapacitating injuries. Authorities at this time say that the driver of the oncoming vehicle was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of the crash. These claims cannot be confirmed at this time.
