One Injured in Truck Accident on U.S. Hwy. 81 in Jefferson County, OK

Jefferson County, OK — August 14, 2023, one person was taken to a hospital after a three-vehicle accident in the morning on U.S. Hwy. 81 in Jefferson County.

Authorities report a passenger vehicle was facing north on U.S. Hwy. 81 waiting to attempt a left-hand turn when it was allegedly rear-ended by a truck. The collision reportedly forced the car into the southbound lanes where it was struck on the side by a second truck.

A passenger in the car was purportedly air-lifted to a hospital in Denton, TX with serious injuries. Other victims in the crash were reportedly treated at the scene and did not require any transportation for medical care.
