Cody Ryan Perez Killed in Car Accident in Corpus Christi, TX

Corpus Christi, TX — August 13, 2023, Cody Ryan Perez sustained fatal injuries due to a single-vehicle car accident at around 11:40 p.m. along F.M. 70.

Investigations say that the incident happened as 29-year-old Bishop High School teacher Cody Ryan Perez was in a a vehicle that was going westbound along Farm-to-Market 70. It appears Perez was in a 2017 Honda Civic that was rounding a curve along F.M. 70 when it somehow lost control. The vehicle ran off the side of the road where it crashed along a roadside ditch.

Due to the crash, Perez sustained fatal injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. There are no additional details about the accident available. The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.
