Driver Injured in Truck Accident on Highway 52 near Kenmare, ND

Kenmare, ND — August 16, 2023, a driver sustained injuries as the result of a two truck accident at around 11:00 a.m. along Highway 52.

Preliminary details about the crash released by the North Dakota Highway Patrol indicate the incident happened roughly two miles north of Kenmare.

It appears that a semi-trailer was traveling along the highway in an area where there was active construction happening. Approaching that construction zone, authorities say that the semi somehow failed to stop, crashing into a second tractor trailer.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the first semi-truck was taken to a hospital with injuries considered life-threatening. The other truck driver apparently was not hurt. At this time, additional details surrounding the crash cannot be confirmed pending investigations.
