Driver Injured in Tanker Truck Accident on Route 15 in Tyrone Township, PA

Adams County, PA — August 17, 2023, a driver was injured as the result of a tanker truck accident at around 8:00 a.m. along Route 15.

According to preliminary information about the accident, details say it happened near mile marker 19 of Route 15.

Investigators said in initial statements that a tractor-trailer hauling a tank of asphalt was going along the highway when it appears a tire blew out. This led to the truck running off the side of the highway where it crashed.

Due to the accident, the driver of the tanker sustained injuries. The severity of the injuries wasn't specified. At this time, there is no indication of others being injured. Additional details surrounding the accident remain unavailable pending investigations.
