Woman Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident on North Burlington in Cumberland County, NJ

Cumberland County, NJ — August 17, 2023, a woman sustained injuries due to a tractor-trailer accident early Thursday along North Burlington Road.

According to preliminary information provided by the Bridgeton Police Department, the incident took place Thursday morning at the intersection of North Burlington Road and Indian Avenue.

Investigators said that a 53-year-old woman was in an SUV that was traveling northbound along Burlington. At Indian Avenue, it appears a tractor-trailer was making a turn to go on Burlington. The vehicles collided as the tractor-trailer turned.

Due to the collision, the woman in the SUV sustained injuries that reportedly left her in critical condition. There were no other confirmed injuries. It appears the truck driver received multiple charges following the wreck, including operating an unregistered vehicle and careless driving. Investigations are ongoing.
