Kester Bruton Killed in Tractor-Trailer Accident on Interstate 59 in Etowah County, AL

Etowah County, AL — August 15, 2023, Kestor Bruton was killed in a tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 59, north of Attalla, in Etowah County, AL.

Authorities indicate that on August 15, a fatal accident occurred when a tractor-trailer crashed on Interstate 59 in Etowah County. According to reports, the crash happened shortly before 2:30 in the afternoon near mile marker 188.

Investigators say the tractor-trailer was traveling along the Interstate when it suddenly drove off the road and struck a tree. Sources say the collision caused the truck to burst into flames at the scene. Authorities have not determined what caused the accident.

Officials confirmed the tractor-trailer driver, 70-year-old Kestor Bruton, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
