One Killed in Semi-Truck Accident in Lyman County, SD

Lyman County, SD — August 15, 2023, a person was killed in a semi-truck collision near Reliance, in Lyman County, SD.

Authorities indicate that on August 15, a collision occurred between a Toyota and a semi-truck in Lyman County. According to reports, the rear of the semi was struck by the Toyota as the semi attempted to pull over on the side of the road. The accident reportedly happened sometime around 7:00 in the evening.

Officials confirmed that the Toyota driver, a 70-year-old man whose name has yet to be released, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Sources say the semi-truck driver escaped the crash with no injuries.

No further details about the collision have been released.
