7 Injured in Dump Truck Accident at I-75 in Weston, FL

Weston, FL — August 14, 2023, seven people were injured as the result of a dump truck accident at around 6:00 a.m. along Interstate 75.

Preliminary details about the accident say that it took place along the southbound lanes of the interstate near Glades Parkway.

According to officials, a Honda was traveling southbound on I-75 at the time when, for reasons which have yet to be determined, the Honda and a dump truck also going southbound collided. This sent both vehicles off the side of the road where they went through a guardrail and crashed into a light pole.

As a result of the incident, six people from the Honda were taken to an area hospital. The conditions of the victims weren't specified. It appears the truck driver may have been hurt, as well. At least two people apparently had serious injuries resulting from the crash.

At this time, there are no further details confirmed about the accident.
