Jefferson County, AL — August 15, 2023, two people were killed in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 459 near Route 290 in Jefferson County, AL.

Authorities indicate that on August 15, a fatal crash occurred when two vehicles and a street sweeper collided on Interstate 459 for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 8:00 at night in Jefferson County.

As investigators determine what caused the collision, few details are available. Officials confirmed that two people, whose names have yet to be released, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Sources say multiple people were pulled from the wreckage, but how many were injured is unclear.
