One Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident on Dan Ryan Expressway in Chicago, IL

Chicago, IL — August 15, 2023, a person was injured in a tractor-trailer collision in the southbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway in Chicago, IL.

Authorities indicate that on August 15, a crash occurred when, for unknown reasons, a Jeep and a tractor-trailer collided on the Dan Ryan Expressway. The crash happened shortly after 8:30 at night.

According to reports, the Jeep rear-ended the tractor-trailer, causing both vehicles to catch fire. Officials confirmed that one person was extricated and suffered severe injuries in the crash. The name of the victim has not been released.

No other injuries were reported. The investigation os ongoing.
