Driver Injured in Truck Accident on 145th Street near Embden, ND

Cass County, ND — August 10, 2023, a driver sustained injuries due to a semi-truck accident that happened around 1:20 p.m. along 145th Avenue.

Authorities with the Cass county Sheriff's Department said they were called out to the crash scene near Embden at a field approach along 145th Avenue Southeast.

Details at this time say the crash involved a pickup that was going along 145th and slowing in an attempt to turn into the field approach. As the pickup slowed, authorities say that a semi-truck did not slow down in time and rear-ended the pickup, forcing it off-road.

As a result of the collision, the pickup driver was taken to a hospital with injuries that were said to be non-life-threatening. It appears there were no other injuries. Police say that the semi-truck driver received a citation for distracted driving. Additional details are unclear at this time.
