Randy Roberts Killed, Rebecca Oliver Injured in Truck Accident in Dearborn County, IN

Dearborn County, IN— August 5, 2023, Randy Roberts was killed and Rebecca Oliver was injured as the result of a truck accident at 3:39 p.m. along Interstate 74.

Investigators said in initial statements that the fatal collision happened at the I-74 and U.S. Highway 52 interchange.

According to officials, 59-year-old Rebecca Oliver and 59-year-old Randy Roberts were both on a Harley Davidson motorcycle that was going along U.S. 52. Authorities say the motorcycle went down the ramp from the highway to the interstate. On interstate lanes, however, it appears the motorcycle crashed with a semi-truck.

Both Roberts and Oliver were thrown into the roadway as a result of the crash. EMS transported both riders to area hospitals. It appears Roberts succumbed to his injuries on August 10. Oliver's condition is unclear at this time. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
