David V. Eide Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Jacksonville, TX

Jacksonville, TX — August 12, 2023, David V. Eide was fatally injured as the result of a motorcycle accident at around 5:11 p.m. along North Jackson Street.

Authorities with the Jacksonville Police Department said that the fatal collision happened at the intersection of North Jackson Street and Jowell Street.

It appears that the incident happened as 53-year-old David V. Eide was on a motorcycle that was southbound on Jackson Street. At Jowell Street, authorities say that an eastbound pickup truck failed to yield, resulting in a collision with Eide's motorcycle.

Due to the collision, Eide was thrown from the motorcycle, resulting in fatal injuries. It appears there were no other injuries confirmed following the wreck. Authorities have not reported any pending charges or citations at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
