Joel Oscar Limonta Alvarez Killed in Truck Accident in Midland County, TX

Midland County, TX — August 12, 2023, Joel Oscar Limonta Alvarez was killed as the result of a truck accident at around 9:00 a.m. along Highway 349.

Authorities said in their preliminary statements that the crash roughly 19 miles south of Midland along the side of northbound Highway 349.

According to officials, 46-year-old Joel Oscar Limonta Alvarez was in a semi-truck that was traveling northbound on the highway. It appears the truck suffered a tire blowout, causing the truck to lose control and run across southbound lanes off-road. There, the truck crashed into a pole.

As a result of the collision, Limonta Alvarez sustained injuries which ultimately proved to be fatal. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the crash. Right now, circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation. Authorities have yet to release additional details.
