Kevin Shane Rivas Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — August 11, 2023, Kevin Shane Rivas was fatally injured due to a single-vehicle car accident late Friday along Interstate 10.

According to information provided by San Antonio Police officials, the incident happened along the westbound lanes of I-10 at the southbound Loop 410 interchange.

Investigators said that 33-year-old Kevin Shane Rivas was in a vehicle that was going along I-10 when it transferred onto the Loop 410 ramp. While going along the ramp, for reasons which cannot be confirmed at this time, the vehicle ran off the side of the road where it crashed into a drainage ditch, then a bridge.

As a result of the collision, Rivas sustained fatal injuries. It does not appear anyone else was involved in the wreck. Authorities have not yet released any additional details. Investigations are ongoing.
