Five Injured in Suspected Drunk Driver Accident on Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX — August 10, 2023, five people were injured due to a suspected drunk driving accident late Thursday along Harry Hines Boulevard.

Preliminary details released about the accident say that the crash took place at around 10:15 p.m. in the area of the Harry Hines and Royal Lane intersection.

Details are limited right now, but Dallas Police officials say they believe a car going along Harry Hines slammed into the back of another vehicle that was stopped at a red light. Due to this, five people in the stationary vehicle had injuries described as serious. The victims were apparently a mother and father and their three children.

The driver of the other vehicle was not said to be injured. Authorities allege that driver was intoxicated at the time of the accident and say they arrested the driver for intoxication assault. Right now, there are no further details that can be confirmed pending further investigations.
