Jimmy Lee Keith Killed in Truck Accident in Pine Bluff, AR

Jefferson County, TX — August 10, 2023, Jimmy Lee Keith was killed following a commercial truck accident at around 9:21 a.m. along U.S. Highway 65.

Investigations from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety indicated that the crash happened along the 4200 block of U.S. 65 between the Highway 81 and Grider Field Ladd Road intersections.

According to current information, 55-year-old Jimmy Lee Keith was driving a Suzuki eastbound along U.S. Highway 65 at the time. Ahead of Keith, troopers say that an International truck was "slowly" moving on the outside lane of eastbound U.S. 65 after pulling onto the road. Keith's vehicle crashed into the back of that truck after changing lanes, the crash summary says.

As a result of the collision, Keith succumbed to fatal injuries. There were no other confirmed injuries mentioned in the preliminary reports. Authorities did not say if they were considering charges or citations. Investigations are ongoing.
