Corey C. Brownlee Killed in Truck Accident on I-15 in Parowan, UT

UPDATE (August 15, 2023): Recent information from authorities identifies the man killed in the accident as 27-year-old Corey C. Brownlee from Waunakee, Wisconsin. Right now, additional details about the truck wreck are unavailable pending investigations.

Iron County, UT — August 10, 2023, a truck driver was fatally injured as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 5:21 a.m. along Interstate 15.

Officials with Utah Highway Patrol said they were called out to the area of mile marker 88 along southbound lanes of the interstate early Thursday.

Currently, exact circumstances surrounding the fatal accident are still under investigation. Details at this time say only that a box truck traveling along the interstate somehow lost control and overturned. Authorities say that the truck came to a stop such that an approaching semi-truck driver couldn't see the truck. As a result, the semi hit the overturned truck.

As a result of the incident, the driver of the box truck sustained fatal injuries. authorities have yet to publicly identify that driver. There were no other reported injuries resulting from the crash. Additional details are unavailable pending investigations.
