Kevin Batiz Injured in Semi-Truck Accident in North Kingstown, RI

North Kingstown, RI — August 10, 2023, Kevin Batiz was injured in a semi-truck collision at Roger Williams Way and Commerce Park Road in North Kingstown, RI.

Authorities say that on August 10, a collision occurred between a vehicle and a semi-truck sometime before midnight in North Kingstown. According to reports, the two vehicles crashed, causing the car to burst into flames at the scene.

A preliminary investigation suggests that speeding may have been a factor in the accident. Officials confirmed the vehicle driver, 18-year-old Kevin Batiz, was extricated from the vehicle and suffered severe injuries in the crash. Batiz was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment.

No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
