One Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 75 in Detroit, MI

Detroit, MI — August 9, 2023, a person was killed in a collision involving a semi-truck on Interstate 75 at Mack Avenue in Detroit, MI.

Authorities indicate that on August 9, a fatal accident occurred when a vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck that was not moving. According to reports, the semi was stopped in the Interstate 75 southbound lane when the crash happened. Sources say the accident occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m.

Officials confirmed the vehicle driver, whose name has yet to be released, suffered severe injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The driver reportedly succumbed to his injuries while in the hospital.

No other injuries were reported.
