According to officials, Donald Molander, Kimberly Molander, Miranda Molander, and Dane Molander, all from Middletown, were said to be in an RV with a trailer that was going southbound along the interstate. It appears that a tire blowout caused the RV to lose control and veer left across the median. The RV went past the cable barrier and into northbound lanes where it crashed head-on with an 18-wheeler driven by James Shade.

As a result of the crash, all four Molanders and Shade succumbed to fatal injuries. A dog involved in the wreck was also killed, reports say. Right now, authorities have not said if they're investigating the cause of the blowout. Investigations are ongoing.
