Investigators at this time have said that a woman and four children were in a Buick that was going eastbound along the highway. Traffic in the westbound lanes reportedly came to a stop as a vehicle was waiting to make a left turn. It appears a semi-truck going westbound went into oncoming lanes to avoid hitting those vehicles, but it instead crashed with the Buick.
