One Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 85 in Petersburg, VA

Petersburg, VA — August 2, 2023, a person was injured in a semi-truck collision on Interstate 85 South near Squirrel Level Road in Petersburg, VA.

Authorities say that on August 2, a crash occurred when, for unknown reasons, a semi-truck overturned while traveling south on Interstate 85 in Petersburg.

Investigators have not determined what caused the accident. It is unclear if any other vehicles were involved.

Officials confirmed the 29-year-old semi-driver suffered severe injuries and was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment. The driver's injuries were reportedly non-life-threatening.
