Ronnie Wetzel, Others Injured in Truck Accident in Hutchinson County, TX

Hutchinson County, TX — July 16, 2023, Ronnie Wetzel and others sustained injuries due to a commercial truck accident that happened at 6:02 p.m. along Highway 136.

Authorities said that the incident took place in the area of Highway 136 mile marker 78.

According to officials, 40-year-old Ronnie Wetzel was behind the wheel of a Dodge Caravan that was going eastbound along the highway. It appears there was a Ford F-550 also going eastbound along the highway which somehow failed to control speed and crashed into the back of the Dodge.

The Dodge was sent off-road where it overturned and hit a tree. As a result, a 51-year-old man in Wetzel's vehicle sustained injuries which were said to be incapacitating. Wetzel and the conditions of the other passengers in the Dodge remain unclear at this time. Charges against the truck driver may be pending.
