Elvira Rizley Injured in Truck Accident in Bexar County, TX

Bexar County, TX — July 17, 2023, Elvira Rizley was injured as the result of a semi-truck accident that happened at 6:51 a.m. along U.S. Highway 16.

Preliminary information about the accident says that it happened in the area of the U.S. Highway 16 and West Loop 1604.

According to officials, 73-year-old Elvira Rizley was in a Ford Edge that was going southbound along U.S. 16. At the Loop 1604 intersection, the Ford crashed into a semi-truck that was making a turn off of northbound lanes.

As a result of the collision, Rizley sustained injuries which were described as incapacitating. It's unclear if the truck driver was hurt. Right now, there have been no additional details confirmed about the crash. Investigations continue.
