Jeffrey Jones, 1 Injured in Truck Accident in Concho County, TX

Concho County, TX — July 22, 2023, Jeffrey Jones and another person were injured due to a commercial truck accident at around 10:30 a.m. along U.S. 83.

Authorities said that the incident took place in the area of U.S. Highway 83 mile marker 402. Initial details made available say that 68-year-old Jeffrey Jones was the driver of a Chevy Tahoe that was going northbound along U.S. Highway 83.

While traveling northbound, an 18-wheeler was approaching in the southbound lanes. Authorities said that the truck was hauling a manufactured home, and part of the siding reportedly came off as the two vehicles passed each other. The siding struck Jones's windshield, hitting Jones's passenger.

As a result of the incident, the passenger in Jones's vehicle sustained apparently incapacitating injuries. Authorities identified the passenger only as a 72-year-old man. Jones was said to have incapacitating injuries. At this time, no further information can be confirmed.
