Juan Galvez Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on Route 47 in Elburn, IL

Elburn, IL — August 8, 2023, Juan Galvez was killed in a collision involving a semi-truck at Route 47 near Beith Road in Kane County, Elburn, IL.

Authorities indicate that on August 8, an accident occurred when, for unknown reasons, a pickup truck and a semi-truck collided on Route 47. According to reports, the eastbound pickup drove through a stop sign on Beith Road. The pickup then entered the path of a semi heading south on Route 47, and the two trucks collided in the intersection. The accident happened shortly after 5:00 in the morning.

Officials confirmed that the pickup driver, 49-year-old Juan Galvez suffered fatal injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

Investigators are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
