One Injured in Dump Truck Accident on Interstate 24 in Murfreesboro, TN

Murfreesboro, TN — August 3, 2023, a person was injured in a dump truck crash on westbound Interstate 24 at Medical Center Parkway Bridge in Murfreesboro, TN.

Authorities indicate that on August 7, an accident occurred when a dump truck overturned and burst into flames on westbound Interstate 24. According to reports, the dump truck attempted to clear the overpass when the crash occurred.

Investigators say the truck driver, a 36-year-old male, was able to exit the burning vehicle but suffered injuries. The extent of the injuries is unknown. Officials have not released any further information at this time.

No other injuries were reported.
