Truck Driver Injured in Accident on Interstate 55 in Pevely, MO

Pevely, MO — August 2, 2023, a truck driver was injured in a crash on southbound Interstate 55 and Highway Z in Pevely, MO.

Authorities indicate that on August 2, an accident occurred when, for unknown reasons, a semi-truck traveling southbound along Interstate 55 suddenly hit a highway barrier followed by a wall. According to reports, the collision brought the semi to a stop on Highway Z. Sources say the accident happened shortly after 5:00 in the morning.

Officials say the semi-driver, a 76-year-old male, suffered severe injuries in the crash. The driver's condition is unknown at this time. No other injuries were reported, and no other vehicles were involved.
