Joseph Kane Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident on Highway 114 in Southlake, TX

UPDATE (August 10, 2023): Details from officials identified the victim killed in the accident as 28-year-old Joseph Kane. No further information is available at this time.

Southlake, TX — August 6, 2023, one person was killed following a single-vehicle car accident at around 1:00 a.m. along Highway 114.

Officials said in their initial statements that the fatal crash happened where Highway 114 crosses the 200 block of North Kimball Avenue.

According to authorities, a man was in a vehicle that was traveling westbound along the highway. For reasons which are not clear at this time, the vehicle lost control, causing it to crashed into the side of the highway bridge. The vehicle then went over the side and fell onto North Kimball.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries. Reports at this time identify the man only as a 28-year-old. There were no other people involved, authorities say. Their investigations are ongoing, and additional details remain unconfirmed pending those investigations.
