Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident in Portsmouth, RI

Portsmouth, RI — August 5, 2023, two people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on East Main Street in Portsmouth, RI.

Authorities indicate that on August 5, a crash occurred when four vehicles, including an 18-wheeler, collided shortly after 2:00 in the afternoon on East Main Street. According to reports, the collision caused the 18-wheeler to overturn.

Officials confirmed that one person suffered severe injuries and was transported to an area hospital for medical attention. Another person had minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital. Additional information about the condition of those injured has not been released.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash.
