Teen Killed, Terry McKinnon, Kenneth McKinnon Injured in Truck Accident on Highway 26 in Gum Springs, AR

Clark County, AR — August 4, 2023, a teenager from Delight, AR was killed and Terry McKinnon and Kenneth McKinnon were injured following a truck accident on Highway 26 near Okolona.

Authorities with the Arkansas Department of Public Safety gave preliminary details about the crash following initial investigations. They say the incident happened along Highway 26 West at around 5:20 p.m.

According to officials, a 17-year-old from Delight, AR, was in a Chevy that was heading westbound on the highway. 56-year-old Terry McKinnon and 62-year-old Kenneth McKinnon were in an eastbound Mack truck. For reasons which are still under investigation, the two vehicles collided head-on with each other.

Due to the collision, the teen driver suffered fatal injuries. Terry and Kenneth McKinnon were taken from the scene with unspecified injuries. Authorities have not released what factors led up to the crash.
