One Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 71 in Kansas City, MO

Kansas City, MO — August 6, 2023, a person was injured in a semi-truck collision on Highway 71 and Red Bridge Road in Kansas City, MO.

Authorities indicate that on August 6, a crash occurred when, for unknown reasons, a Camaro and a semi-truck collided on Highway 71 in Kansas City. According to reports, the semi was heading southbound on Highway 71 when the Camaro attempted to enter. Sources say the Camaro struck the rear of the semi's trailer, which caused the car to spin out of control and become lodged beneath the semi.

Investigators have not determined what caused the accident but confirmed that the Camaro driver suffered severe injuries. Another Camaro occupant sustained minor injuries in the crash. Additional information about the accident has not been released at this time. No other injuries were reported.
