Lindsey Carlson, 1 Injured in Truck Accident in Decatur, TX

Decatur, TX — July 25, 2023, Lindsey Carlson and another person were injured as the result of a truck accident around noon along U.S. Highway 81.

Investigations at this time show that the incident happened at approximately 12:04 p.m. along U.S. Highway 81 and Old Chico Street.

Authorities said that the crash involved two commercial trucks and a Mitsubishi Outlander reportedly driven by 34-year-old Lindsey Carlson. Carlson reportedly slowed approaching the intersection while going northbound. While doing so, however, a tractor-trailer crashed into Carlson from behind. They then collided with another semi-truck facing westbound in the intersection.

As a result of the crash, Carlson sustained injuries which were said to be incapacitating. The driver of the first 18-wheeler reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries. Investigations did not report any other injuries. At this time, additional details about the accident are unavailable.
