Two Injured in Truck Accident on I-37 in Elmendorf, TX

Elmendorf, TX — August 2, 2023, two people were injured following a dual truck accident at around 10:00 a.m. along Interstate 37.

Authorities with the Bexar County Sheriff's Department said they were called out to the southbound lanes of the interstate in the area of Hardy Road and F.M. 536.

According to initial statements, the incident involved an 18-wheeler and a dump truck. Due to a series of events not currently clear, the 18-wheeler apparently crashed into the back of the dump truck. There did not appear to be any other vehicles involved.

At least one of the drivers had to be extricated from their vehicle following the wreck. Both drivers were reportedly treated at the scene, though it's unclear if they were ever taken to the hospital. At this time, no further information is available.
