One Killed, One Injured in Truck Accident on Clark Road in Sarasota, FL

Sarasota, FL — August 3, 2023, a person was killed, and another was injured in a truck crash at the Clark Road and Catamaran Drive intersection in Sarasota, FL.

Authorities indicate that on August 3, a collision occurred between a vehicle and a truck for unknown reasons. According to reports, the westbound vehicle didn't yield to an oncoming truck while attempting a left turn at the intersection of Clark Road and Catamaran Drive. Sources say the two vehicles collided, causing the car to flip over.

Officials confirmed the 81-year-old driver of the car, whose name has not been released, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The truck driver reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries. No further information is available.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
