12-year-old Killed in Car Accident on Davis Boulevard in Southlake, TX

Southlake, TX — August 3, 2023, a 12-year-old girl was killed following a car accident at around 9:30 a.m. along Davis Boulevard.

According to initial details from Southlake officials, the incident happened along Davis Boulevard in the area of West Southlake Boulevard and Randol Mill Avenue.

Investigators said that a 12-year-old girl was on a bicycle going along the sidewalk traveling northbound. A pickup truck was also going northbound when it attempted to turn into a private drive. In doing so, the vehicle collided with the girl and her bicycle.

EMS transported the girl to a hospital in Grapevine, but the girl's injuries proved fatal. There were no other reported injuries. At this time, there are no additional details about the fatal incident. Investigations are ongoing.
