William Toney, Donna Jones, Damon Bahntge Injured in Truck Accident in Dodge City, KS

Dodge City, KS — August 3, 2023, William Toney, Donna Jones, and Damon Bahntge were injured following a two truck accident at 6:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 56.

Authorities said they were called out to the west side of town at the U.S. 56 and U.S. 400 junction. According to officials with the Kansas Highway Patrol, the incident occurred as 33-year-old Damon D. Bahntge was behind the wheel of a westbound Peterbilt semi truck. 54-year-old William Toney and 52-year-old Donna Jones were in a Kenworth semi that was going eastbound. It appears that Bahntge was attempting to make a left turn when the two semi-trucks collided.

As a result of the collision, Bahntge reportedly sustained serious injuries. Toney and Jones reportedly had injuries described as minor. There were no other reported injuries. At this time, details surrounding the crash cannot be confirmed pending further investigations.
