Anthony Scott Killed, 3 Injured in Moving Van Accident on Highway 116 in Sonoma County, CA

Sonoma County, CA — August 1, 2023, Anthony Scott was killed and three were injured following a moving van accident at around 7:00 p.m. along Highway 116.

Authorities with the California Highway Patrol said that the incident happened in the area of Lakeville off Old Adobe Road.

According to initial statements, the incident involved a moving van that had been traveling eastbound along the highway. For reasons unclear, it appears the van crossed into oncoming lanes where it crashed with a Lexus, a Chevy Camaro, and a Jeep.

As a result of the collision with the Camaro, the Camaro driver, identified as 63-year-old Anthony Scott, succumbed to fatal injuries. It's unclear if anyone else was in the car with Anthony Scott. The drivers of the van, Lexus, and Jeep all had injuries which were not believed to be serious.

At this time, additional details about the crash are unavailable.
