Three Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on U.S. 41 in Gibson County, IN

Gibson County, IN — August 3, 2023, three people were killed following a semi-truck accident that happened at around 2:00 p.m. on U.S. Highway 41.

Preliminary details about the accident say that it happened in the area of the U.S. Highway 41 and County Road 100 West intersection.

According to officials, the incident involved two commercial trucks and one passenger vehicle. Details surrounding the crash are scarce at this time. Authorities said only that a red semi-truck crashed somehow crashed into the back of another semi along the highway. The details indicate that a car was "also hit during the crash," but further specifics weren't provided.

As a result of of the crash, at least three people had reported injuries. One of those people appeared to be seriously injured while the other two had injuries described as minor. No one has been identified at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
